Stage 1 — Launch
Landing page
Build a conversion-focused homepage in the right order.
- 01
Hero — outcome-first headline
The only section most visitors read. Lead with the outcome, not the product name. "Freelancers invoice in 30 seconds" beats "Introducing InvoiceFlow."
Tip: The five-second test: show the page to someone unfamiliar for 5 seconds. Ask what the product does. If they can't say, rewrite the headline. - 02
Problem — agitate the pain
Two to four sentences using the user's language. Name the frustration, the wasted time, the embarrassing workaround. They should think "that's exactly what happens to me."
- 03
Solution — three steps
"Step 1: do X. Step 2: product does Y. Step 3: you get Z." Show the product in screenshots at each step. Visitors scan — don't write paragraphs here.
- 04
Features → benefits
Transform each feature into the benefit it delivers. "Real-time sync" → "Pick up exactly where you left off — on any device." Max five features.
- 05
Social proof
Even one honest testimonial beats none. Collect five quotes from beta testers before launch. Ask specifically: "What result did you get?" not "What do you think?"
Tip: If you have zero users: your usage numbers, the communities you've built this for, or even the problem statement backed by data all count. - 06
Pricing & footer CTA
Show pricing, or clearly explain why you're not. Repeat the primary CTA at the bottom — many visitors scroll all the way down to decide.
